Capable of stitching full view panoramas without any user input whatsoever, Autostitch is a great new technology for panoramic photography, VR and visualisation applications. This is a solution to stitch any panorama completely automatically, whether 1D (horizontal) or 2D (horizontal and vertical).Autostitch is incredibly simple to use! This doesn't much a problem, as the algorithm is pretty top notch.SummaryI highly recommend trying this program. I have used photo-stitch in the past, which worked fairly well, but this program blow's it out of the water. Simply a better implemented image processing algorithm. The program is of a small size and allows you to control characteristics of the blending sequences the program undergoes.

There is no control over which points in the photos chosen the program blends at (might be part of the algorithm), and no control over what the output is saved as (always 'pano'). These concerns, however, are very minimal based on the awesome functionality.PS.

I've used this for some end-of-the-year College festivities, and even though a lot of the photos had many people moving about and such, the program handled the stitching very well.Kudos to the developer.Reply to this reviewWas this review helpful? To buy and download Auto Stitch Pic - Merge Panorama Easy by Go2Share, get iTunes now. DescriptionThe AutoStitchPic app combines several photographs into one continuous image. For example, you can take 3-20 overlapping photographs of a city skyline, and then merge them into a panorama.

This app can assemble photos that are tiled horizontally as well as vertically, and multi rows photos supported.Learn how to make a good panorama photo:Setting up for your shoot, a stable position to take your panoramas from is important. Once you find your potential spot and set your iPhone camera up, rotate it to the extreme right and left edges that you want to include in your photo and make sure that there isnt anything that is too big of a visual or physical obstruction.

Something else to keep in mind is to try to set up so that the full range of your shot does not show shadows from you or your iPhone. When you have the settings you want and have taken your extreme left pictures it is time to grab a reference point in the viewfinder about 20%-30% away from the right side of your viewfinder. You do this because you are going to swivel the camera so that this reference point is at the far left but still in the viewfinder so that there is some overlap between your photos. As far as overlap is concerned, you are shooting digitally so snap away, overlap 30-50% if you want, but err on the side of overlapping too much.

If you dont overlap enough, as AutoStitchPic app attempts to blend the shots it will not have enough of a fingerprint to blend well. Now simply repeat this process until you come to the extreme right end of your desired panoramic shot:1.

Choose a reference point about 20-30% away from the right autostitch panorama software for mac of the viewfinder2. Swivel the camera to the right until your reference point is at the left edge of the viewfinder3. Take the picture4. Repeat until you have taken photos that cover the entire area you wish to capture in your panoramaMake your panorama:Now you are ready to stitch your photos together.

Please open each photo that you wish to add to the panorama in AutoStitchPic app. Click OK button. Now AutoStitchPic app goes into action. It analyzes and blends the photos. This could take several minutes.Go ahead and save your picture and you have a panorama!Features:Blend Images Together: to have AutoStitchPic attempt to seamlessly blend exposure and color.Vignette Removal: to correct for any natural lens vignetting (darkening) at the edges.Geometric Distortion Correction: to repair any lens distortion (often caused when shooting at a wider angle).Note:Overlap the images the images should overlap by at least 40%, but no more than 70%.

Outside of this range, Photomerge may not be able to align the files correctly.Shoot vertical this is a little counter-intuitive since were making panoramas.

Its usually best to shoot vertical (portrait orientation). Since youll merge multiple frames together later to get as wide as you need, shooting vertical will give you a taller overall panorama. Also, youll need some of this vertical space for cropping.

More on cropping later.Upload to Social NetworkWith iOS, you can connect directly to your social network accounts, allowing you to post and share content from nearly anywhere. iOS provides integrated support for:?Twitter?Facebook?Flickr?Vimeo?Sina Weibo?Tencent Weibo?Blush and MascaraYou can add your account in Settings, after adding your account, you can configure additional settings or download the official iOS app for that service. byPlu642Abysmal interface.

Processing takes just forever. As an added bonus from the "developer," when you switch to another app while processing, both the photos you took and the processing and all the time you spent up to that point will simply vaporize. Image quality is no better than other panorama apps I have tried but you get to wait 5 -10 minutes to find out each time.

This application's algorithms leave artifacts. As an extra added bonus to purchasing and using this junk, each and every time you save a panorama it asks you to rate it "5 stars." It's not worth one star.

No other option of course. If you are considering this app, consider just throwing your money out the window instead. You will have more fun watching the wind blow it away than you will get from using this poorly coded piece of junk. byJediJenI am a photographer autostitch panorama software for mac has focused on panorama photography for over 20 years - beginning with handpasting my own, testing over 5 apps on Mac OS and now experimenting with iPhone 6 Plus panoramas.

In my hands, this app has been flawless in rapidly and beautifully assembling sequential images in my photo libraries. Sufficiently "not to be missed" that it prompted me to write this first ever review - after years of fanatic iPhone photography. I can't explain the negative reviews that have been posted. byTjo_4I had used a previous version of this app long before iPhones offered to shoot panos using the Camera app.

I had some new photos that I wanted to stitch and spent $2 on this new version. The interface is not optimized for the 6S+ and does not offer a way to obtain photos from the Camera Roll. Any pictures must be added to an album in Photos and then navigated to in the app (which is partly miserable due to Apple's album organization).

Once I finally got the photos selected, the app put way too much perspective in the stitching so the final product looks way off. This was a big disappointment. When it comes to capturing stunning landscapes, frames are never sufficiently big, even when you have a wide angle lens with you! Well, suppose you have a wide angle lens with you; even then, you might have to crop an image if you want to have a focused panorama shot.

Nevertheless, if youve a tripod and a camera with manual options, you have a better solution out there Panorama shots through photo stitching! Photo stitching is a process used for creation of panoramic shot by combining several images, given that all these images have overlapping segments. The best thing about this method is that you can have a high-resolution panoramic shot using your 18-55 mm or other lenses. If these are set, we will just move onto the list. Best Photo Stitching Software 1.

Stitching images or photos is the process of combining several digital images together so that you get one big one in the end. That wouldn't be so tough you might say, but what makes stitching software so helpful is that it is "sewing" those photographs together with no obvious trace of the seam.

What you get is a great single panorama view of what you have photographed with several pictures. DiscussionMicrosoft Image Composite Editor (abbreviated as ICE) - I am very, very impressed with this photographic image stitcher. Started as a BETA, this great software by Microsoft has developed immensely and is still free!

The first thing you have to have of course is some pics to stitch together and I have tried a number of different images from 2 to 8 the stitching of the images worked very well on all the panoramic pictures, whether it was vertical or horizontal.

Opening formats it accepts JPG, BMP, TIFF, PNG and HD Photo image. There are four modes of camera motion to stitch your sequence of images, three fixed and one that you can adjust the distortion and that the 'Rotation motion'. When in this mode just click the 3D icon on the top taskbar, where you can tilt, zoom in and out.

When you are happy with your construction then you can leave the cropping to another imaging software or auto crop. The finished panoramic image is exported into JPG, BMP, TIFF, PNG, HD Photo image, Adobe Photoshop, HD View Tileset and Deep Zoom Tileset. As an added bonus .psd you can export in layers!

Any other alterations can be achieved in your image software. The project can be saved as a .spi file enabling quick access if you so wish to return and alter the image again. I have read on several sites that the Fisheyed lens shots are not quite successful, but for most of us it does the job extremely well. If you have a Fisheye lens it would be great to inform us how you get on with it.Autostitch - a program written by Matthew Brown, a PhD student at the University of British Columbia.

It comes complete with some sample pictures for you to play with. Select File/Open and choose your pictures, and then just sit back and wait while it formats the photos into a single combined panorama. All lighting corrections and blending are done for you.

The downside of this program is some arcing in the panorama that leaves black edges. You will need to crop the panorama to get clean edges.Windows Live Photo Gallery - which is an allrounder for managing your photos (much the same as Picasa), but a little-publicised feature is available in the Make menu: "Panorama Stitcher".
